Toyota India has launched the Urban Cruiser Taisor crossover in a price range of Rs 7.74-13.04 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country. Being a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, it will be the smallest and most affordable SUV in Toyota’s product portfolio. Toyota Taisor boasts of a handful of cosmetic updates over the Fronx while it has been introduced in petrol and CNG fuel trims.

Since it is the rebadged version, it shares 90 percent of its components with the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. There are indeed a few subtle updates such as a restyled front grille in honeycomb layout and revised front bumper design. In fact, the LED DRLs are presented in a new design as compared to the Fronx. The side profile is identical, except the newly-designed 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. As for the rear, it gets a partially redesigned tail-lamp cluster with a light bar which is spread at full width. The Taisor SUV is available in five color options namely Cafe White, Enticing Silver, Sportin Red, Lucent Orange, and Gaming Grey.

The cabin is finished in a dual-tone black and brown upholstery with several premium features such as heads up display, smartwatch connectivity, auto climate control, wireless charger, 360-degree camera and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. As for the safety of the occupants, it is equipped with six airbags, hill-hold assist, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability program (ESP).
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor Engine Specs
The Taisor gets the same engine choices as the Fronx. It is powered by the naturally-aspirated 1.2L 4-cylinder petrol which develops top power of 89 bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. The SUV also gets a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT, and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions. The CNG variants will be available with the 1.2L naturally-aspirated petrol engine.
