Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX likely to be launched in India soon
  • Successor to the Ninja 1000 SX
  • Select dealers are accepting unofficial bookings
  • Price not confirmed yet

Kawasaki is likely to launch the new Ninja 1100 SX in India this month, as per our dealer sources. Dealers in select cities have even started accepting unofficial bookings for the bike. It will replace the popular Ninja 1000 that was discontinued in February 2024 in India.

The highlight of the new Ninja 1100 SX is the bigger 1,099cc, inline four-cylinder engine that will replace the previous 1,043cc unit. Despite the bump in displacement, the power output has gone down from 142bhp to around 135bhp. However, the torque output has marginally increased from the previous 111Nm to 113Nm. The new motorcycle also has a slightly larger sprocket with one additional tooth which should result in a marginal improvement in acceleration.

Under the largely unchanged bodywork, the chassis components are the same, except for a new, bigger rear disc brake. The Ninja 1100 SE gets Brembo Monobloc 4.32 calipers at the front. It also has an Ohlins S36 adjustable monoshock which is not available in the standard version. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with new Bridgestone Battlax S23 tyres. As for features, there’s a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, power modes, traction control, ABS, cruise control and a USB-C charging port.

The price of the new Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX is not confirmed yet. However, it should be considerably pricier than its predecessor which was pegged at Rs. 13.79 lakh, ex-showroom before being taken off the shelves.
