– Ather teases Rizta’s long seat again
– Could be unveiled at the Ather Community Day in April
– Has been spotted testing previously
Ather has teased its upcoming electric scooter once again but this time the Bengaluru-based brand has used a billboard and teased the Rizta’s long seat. Moreover, the hoarding also says “coming soon” and we think Ather could showcase the Rizta at the Community Day slated for April 6.
The Rizta electric scooter has been spotted testing multiple times in the past. The test mule(S) has revealed a bevy of details over the past few months. One of the prominent factors for the Ather Rizta appears to be its proportions. The EV seems sizeable with its family-friendly design and could likely have adequate space for both, a pillion and a rider. Even the floorboard on the test scooter seems larger than the current Ather 450 scooters.
We expect Ather to offer modern features like all LED illumination, a digital console, smartphone connectivity for music control, navigation, SMS and call alerts, and more. Then, the Ather Rizta is likely to have ride modes, regenerative braking, OTA updates, and fast charging too. That said, its motor and battery details are not known as of now.
With the Rizta, Ather is eyeing a larger sector of buyers that would prefer utility along with performance. We expect Ather to price the Rizta electric scooter around Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the TVS iQube S and the Ola S1 Pro.
