The Mahindra XUV 3XO, essentially the heavily updated version of the XUV300, is all set to make its global debut on April 29, 2024. Ahead of its official arrival, select Mahindra dealers have started accepting bookings for the vehicle at an initial sum of Rs 21,000. To generate buzz around the product, the carmaker has released teasers revealing design details and segment-first features. The latest one confirms that the new Mahindra XUV 3XO will be the first car in its category to come with a panoramic sunroof and will also be the most affordable one with this feature. According to a fresh media report, the new XUV 3XO will be packed with the Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite along with features such as a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, new seat upholstery, powered driver’s seat, wireless charger, and new seat upholstery. It will also feature a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, along with a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
In terms of design, the new Mahindra XUV 3XO will be completely different from the outgoing XUV300. It will draw its design inspiration from the forthcoming Mahindra BE electric SUVs. Upfront, the compact SUV will feature a newly designed grille, dual-barrel LED projector headlamps with inverted C-shaped LED DRLs, and a revised bumper with a larger central air intake. It will also get a new set of dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear section will be adorned with a tweaked bumper, new full-width LED taillights, and a revised tailgate featuring Mahindra’s twin-peak logo.
While its exterior and interior will be completely revised, the new Mahindra XUV 3XO will retain the existing 1.5L diesel, 1.2L turbo petrol, and 1.2L direct injection turbo petrol engines. The 1.2L TGDi gasoline unit will be exclusively offered with the Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Buyers will also have the option to choose from the 6-speed manual and AMT transmissions.
